Many Isleworth residents have been worried about the catastrophic spill from Mogden into the Duke of Northumberland river which left homes and gardens flooded with raw sewage.
Ruth Cadbury and I are regularly in touch with affected residents as well as Thames Water and the Environment Agency to ensure decontamination efforts are in place including in Silverhall Park. We have also been pushing Thames Water to provide adequate compensation for affected residents. It is not right that residents should have to claim on their own insurance for this incident.
Going forward, we are pushing for measures to be put in place to prevent this from ever happening again.
