Supporting vulnerable residents in Brentford and Isleworth during the coronavirus crisis

I regret to inform my constituents that all Isleworth surgeries will be cancelled until further notice to help protect vulnerable residents at this time. I am available by email or phone for all casework and residents who need support while self-isolating can contact me for help.

As the coronavirus crisis worsens, many elderly and vulnerable people in our communities will be forced to self-isolate. This will be a lonely time for many, and some may need help in receiving basic supplies.

Jeremy Corbyn said: “Instead of canvassing and campaigning, I would like Labour members to get involved in supporting vulnerable people in our communities – ensuring this is done safely and on the basis of public health advice. The labour movement, rooted as it is in our communities, can help to ensure those who need support the most are not left to cope alone.”

Officers of Brentford & Isleworth CLP Executive have agreed to support COVID-19 Mutual Aid UK to assist those who need it most in our community.  There is a Hounslow-wide COVID-19 Mutual Aid Group on Facebook. Other groups we members may wish to support in the current crisis include Age Concern Chiswick and Hounslow FoodBoxI

Members under the age of 70 who do not have underlying health conditions and feel safe doing so can get in touch if they wish to volunteer.

You can contact us on brentfordisleworthclp@gmail.com or join the facebook group here.

All volunteers should follow the latest health guidance from the NHS at all times and should not put themselves or others at risk.
